Martha Jane Perkins

Martha Jane Hungerford Smith Perkins died on Friday, January 29, 2013, in Ft. Worth, TX. Martha Jane was born in Clinton, IN, on September 11, 1923, to Paul and Lela Hungerford. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1941. She married Lee Roy Smith, son of Jesse and Mamie Smith, on September 29, 1946. Martha Jane and family moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1965. Lee Roy preceded her in death on December 3, 1978. Martha Jane married Francis “Bud” Perkins on January 1, 1982, in Phoenix, AZ. They lived in Arizona, California, Alaska and Washington. Martha Jane moved to Texas to be near her daughters after Bud’s death. Martha Jane is survived by her three daughters, Laura Lee Smith of Fort Worth, TX; Cynthia Ann Reeves of Burleson, TX; and Myra Jean Smith, also of Burleson, TX; her brother, Lloyd Hungerford of Apache Junction, AZ; 3 grandchildren, Christopher & Amy Reeves and Jessica Rufino; 3 great-grandchildren, Bethany, Nathan & Alanna; and many nieces, nephews and step-relatives. Memorial Service 2:00 P.M. Thursday January 31, 2013 at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home.
