Alma Evelyn Vincent

Burleson – Evelyn Vincent, 93, of Burleson, TX passed away on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014 at Hermitage Memorial Gardens, Hermitage, TN.  Visitation: The family will receive friends prior to the funeral beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Evelyn was born September the 21st, 1921, in Bell Buckle, TN to James Shirley and Cora Vincent.  Evelyn was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt.  She lived in Old Hickory, TN for most of her life before moving to Burleson, TX to be near her niece and her family.  She worked as a telephone operator early in her business life and retired after working for the State of Tennessee Employment Security department in data processing.   She was an accomplished pianist and for 50 years enjoyed playing the organ and piano at her church, Old Hickory Church of the Nazarene.   She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, James Vincent Jr. and sister, Ouida Mai Rudd. Survivors: Niece, Linda (Larry) Cassella, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.
