Alton Vincent Miller, affectionately known as Vince, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus in May of 2025.
Vince was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Alton and Louise Miller. He was raised in Mathis, Texas and graduated as salutatorian from Mathis High School in 1978. In 1982, he graduated and received his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.
After beginning his career in Houston, Vince soon met, fell in love with, and married the love of his life Lee Ann. Vince's career in the oil industry took them on many adventures. While living in Oklahoma, they adopted their son Christian. After leaving Oklahoma, they made several moves in Texas, eventually achieving their dream of retiring on Lake Granbury.
Vince was known for his sweet spirit and warm smile. His journey on this earth was one marked by humility, hard work, and unwavering faith in God. He was a loving husband, father, and friend to many. In addition to his love for traveling with Lee Ann, Vince was an avid hunter, fisherman, and grill master. He enjoyed extending hospitality to family, friends, neighbors and church community. Some of his favorite memories were made on the lake swimming, boating, and waterskiing.
Vince was preceded in death by his parents Alton and Louise Miller, his sister Gilda Bear, and brother Rodney Miller. He is survived by his soulmate Lee Ann, son Christian, brother Steve (Juaniece) Miller, nephews Stephen (Melissa) Miller and Colton Miller, and niece Laura Taylor.
Vince truly lived life to the fullest, and his laughter, thoughtfulness, and unconditional love will be deeply missed.
