Andrea Melton

Andrea Kaye Melton (Starnes), 56, of Arlington, Texas, passed away in Fort Worth.

Andrea was a woman of deep faith whose life was a complex blend of strength, struggle, and perseverance. She faced many hardships, including health and personal challenges, yet continued to seek meaning along her path. In her final season, Andrea found both refuge and purpose at the Presbyterian Night Shelter in Fort Worth, where she was known for her kindness, helpful nature, and desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

She believed deeply in the redemptive power of faith and the hope of second chances.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Andrea’s memory are invited to make donations to the Presbyterian Night Shelter in Fort Worth, Texas, or to the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute—both of which support individuals navigating challenges similar to those Andrea worked to overcome.

There will be no services held at this time. Andrea’s journey is now complete. May her soul find the rest and peace that often eluded her in life.
