Audie Gene Bratcher Francis Short

Joshua, Tx   Audie Gene Short, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior April 12, 2018 with her loving husband by her side. Memorial Service: 10:00 A.M. Saturday April 21 at True Life Church, 301 South Main St., Joshua,Texas. Audie was born June 15, 1944 to Thomas Grady and Margaret Louise Bratcher in Arlington, the community known as Tate Springs. Audie was a graduate of Eastern Hills High School. (1962) She worked at Montgomery Wards, Texas Hotel, SMU, and retired from Willamette Industries Paper Mill in Grand Prairie. Audie moved to Joshua and married the love of her life Billy Joe Short. She enjoyed reading, taking care of her dogs, and volunteering with the Open Door Church sponsored food bank. She especially enjoyed spending time with family when possible. Survivors: Audie is survived by her husband of 22 years Billy Short, brother Charles Bratcher and wife Gayle; Nieces Ryann Cleland and husband James, Kim Burton and husband Chris; great nieces Maggie and Kendall and great nephew Andy.
