FORT WORTH — Belinda Steele went home to meet her Maker on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, surrounded by her family. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday in Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials: May be made in Belinda’s name to the SPCA or the Fort Worth Humane Society. Belinda was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1958. In 1976 she met the love of her life, Michael Steele, and in 1977 they were married and had been soul mates ever since. Belinda was a housewife who took great pride and joy in the loving care she gave to her family. Her smile and blue eyes were often enough to help ease any problems that came her family’s way. Belinda was an avid reader and had e-mail pen pals across the United States and in England. She was also an avid dog lover and made donations to the SPCA, Humane Society and Pet Smart charities and now will be reunited with her beloved Carmel and Smokey in heaven. Belinda was the heart and soul of their family and will be sorely missed by her friends and family who loved her. Survivors: Husband of 34 years, Michael; sons, Heath and wife, Amy, and Dylan; granddaughter, Shelby; sister by marriage, Jerrie Barnes and husband, David; nieces, Lacie McCullogh and husband, Jacob, and their son Eric, Ashley Mendez and husband, Neno, and daughters, Brennan and Lexy; nephew, Justin Barnes and fiancee, Desiree Davila and their unborn child due in May; and her faithful dogs, T., Bubba and C.J.
