Billy Dean Cruson

Arlington, TX – Billy Dean Cruson died peacefully at home, on July 7, 2022, in Arlington, TX. He was born on March 31, 1933, in Henryetta, OK. Bill enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1949 and was Honorably discharged in 1955. Bill then entered Law Enforcement and served several communities for many years before moving into the Security department for Six Flags over Texas where he retired after 25 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents Orbia Dean Cruson and Doris Mae Golden, brothers Bobby Jean, AD Nixon, and Ed Nixon, son Bobby Lafe, and grandson Michael H. Bill is survived by sister, Naomi Baker (Ken), 4 children, Michael Dean Cruson (Judy), Billy Cone “Joe Willie” Cruson (Karen), Vanessa Cruson Barnfield (Brian), Alvin Lee “Chip” Cruson (Louwanna) and brother-in-law Richard Meador. Grandchildren Michael II, Dwyane, Bradley, Makaila, Casey, Kimberly, Samantha, Tanya, Christopher, Tony, Misty, and Shirley, as well as 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren and too many nieces and nephews to list. A Celebration of Life, for Bill, will be held on July 14, 2022, at The Welcome Table Christian Church, 4600 Highwood Drive, Arlington, TX 76016, from 11AM to 2PM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in the name of Billy Dean Cruson.
