Billy Mirl Young

BURLESON — Billy Young, 81, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Billy Mirl Young was born on August 30, 1931 in Caddo Mills, Texas to Ulner Herschel Young and Mildred Inez Youngblood Young. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married his beloved Barbara Morris on February 12, 1953 in Glasgow, Kentucky. Billy retired from Lockheed after 33 years of service. He was a farmer and rancher for many years. Survivors: His wife of 59 years, Barbara; sons, Tony Young and Kenneth Young; brothers, Boyd Denver Young, John Alvin Young and T.J. Young; sisters, Dorothy Hankins, Velma “Jakee” Newman, Virginia Rapier and Deloris Tufte; grandsons, Shane, Jason and Ryan Young; six great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Frank Morris and wife Kathy; sisters in law, Shirley and Victor Smalling and Judy Pedigo and numerous nieces and nephews.
