Bobbie Gryder Glenn

Bobbie Jo Glenn passed away on November 27, 2024 in Granbury TX at the age of 87. Bobbie was born in Dublin TX on January 31, 1937 to Oscar Gryder and Myrtle Bishop Gryder. When Bobbie was 9 years old, her birth mother died from complications following a car wreck. Shortly thereafter, Bobbie’s father married Janie Gryder and with that marriage Bobbie gained a sister named Carol. The two sisters became lifelong. friends. Bobbie graduated from Handley High School in 1955 along with her best friend Gail Hickman. She went on to work at various companies before becoming a Data Entry Clerk at the Tandy Corporation headquarters for almost 30 years. Bobbie was of the Baptist faith and a member of Triple Cross Cowboy Church in Granbury. Following two previous marriages, Bobbie married Bobby Wayne Glenn on August 31, 1972. They enjoyed almost 44 years of marriage when Bobby passed away in 2016. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her sister, her niece Linda Carol Hines and her granddaughter Shannon Hickman Schulte. Bobbie is survived by her two sons, Wade and Larry Hickman both of Granbury. She is also survived by Bobby’s three children: David Glenn, Gary Glenn and Becky Falciani. She is survived by several grandchildren including Scott Hickman and Taylor Hickman Newman who she helped raise. She is survived by many great-grandchildren as well as many, many other family members and friends. She was loved by all who knew her. In honor of Bobbie’s wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes will be buried at the family plot in Dublin TX at a later date.
