Brian A. Roe
January 31, 1939 – February 26, 2026
Grand Prairie, Texas — Brian A. Roe passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, in Grand Prairie, Texas at age 87.
Brian was born January 31, 1939, in Buffalo, New York.
Throughout his life he was known as a hardworking, thoughtful man who dedicated decades of his career to the planning and scheduling of complex construction and engineering projects. His work required precision, leadership, and the ability to bring together many moving parts.
During his career, Brian worked on projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Boeing Engineering. He also served as a contractor for NASA and had the opportunity to know many astronauts during that time. A cherished memory for his family was living in Webster, Texas during the Apollo era and being connected to the work surrounding the historic Apollo 11 mission.
Brian studied electrical engineering at Canisius College and continued his studies at both Canisius College and the University at Buffalo while raising children and working full time.
He loved boating and fishing for trout and redfish. He enjoyed telling jokes and had a great sense of humor. Brian played the trombone and had a love for music, especially Jimmy Buffet and Frank Sinatra.
Brian was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice Roe, in 2014, parents Frank E. and Stella M. Roe.
He is survived by his children, Denise Roe, Gregory Roe, Christine Zinsel (Joseph), and Jeffrey Roe (Kellie); step-son William “Chip” Warren (Joann) and their children Madison, Monica, Odelia, Chelsea, Wyland, Adie; grandchildren, Crystal Roe, Jennifer Pawelczak, Chandler Roe, Alexander Zinsel, William Zinsel and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 26, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Mayberry Gardens in Grand Prairie, Texas, with a reception to follow.
A Funeral Mass will be held April 7, 2026, at 11am at St. Claire's Catholic Church in Waveland, Mississippi with a reception to follow.
Graveside services and burial will take place in May or June at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Swormville, New York.
