BURLESON — Carl Eugene Blauser, 81, went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2012 after a 7 week battle with lung cancer. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26 at Cana Baptist Church in Burleson. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Community Hospice. Carl was a native of Franklin Township near Oil City, PA where he grew up as part of a family of 7 children. In 1949, he enlisted in the US Navy where he spent 4 years including tours aboard the cruiser USS Worcester, sailing around the world in support of combat operations during the Korean War. In 1956, he moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and went to work for Humble Oil (Exxon) where he met and married, Juanice, in 1961. Together they had 4 children which they raised in Hurst, TX before moving to Spring, TX for 11 years then retiring to Burleson after years driving as a long haul truck driver for Montgomery Ward and Ryder. Though he lived most of his life in Texas, his heart always was in Pennsylvania. He was loved by many including a large family and many friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his brother Ralph Blauser and sister Twila Fink. Survivors: Carl is survived by his wife of 51 years, Juanice of Burleson; Daughter, Jacque Bachman of Keller; sons, Doug of Fort Worth, Brad of Grapevine, and Pat of Aurora, TX.;7 grandchildren, 2 brothers; Richard Blauser of Hurst and Fred Blauser of Bedford, 2 sisters; Dorothy McIlwain of North Richland Hills and Eleanor Clarkson of Hurst as well as extended family.
