Carol Ann Gentry

Carol Ann Gentry, lifelong resident of North Texas, has passed away peacefully at her home in Lancaster. Carol was born in Dallas January 11, 1945 and attended public school and college there. She held a variety of interesting jobs during her working life, retiring from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2010. Carol had a lifelong passion for learning and continued to pursue new opportunities in retirement. She was interested in her family history and history in general. She was passionate about music, taking voice lessons and keyboarding, and enjoyed doing karaoke. She was very knowledgeable about many subjects and always generous in sharing her knowledge with family and friends. She is survived by two sisters, a niece and nephew, an aunt and numerous cousins, and her two beloved cats. Her free spirit, boisterous laugh and inquiring mind will be missed. A memorial service will be held at a later date to provide an opportunity for her friends and family to share memories and tears and laughter and to say their farewells.
