Remembering Carol Jane Caldwell
Carol Jane Caldwell (née Yarber) passed away in Mansfield, Texas, on October 15, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born in Bloomington, Illinois, on September 19, 1951, Carol was the eldest of five children born to Albert Yarber and Leanna Branion. Being the oldest taught her early on how to care for others, a trait that defined her entire life.

Carol spent most of her career working in home health care. Her passion for helping others wasn't just a profession; it was a calling. Throughout her life, she selflessly stepped up to care for numerous family members, providing comfort and dignity to those she loved during their final chapters.

As a devoted Jehovah's Witness, Carol found strength and joy in her faith and community. She loved nothing more than sharing conversation and spending quiet, meaningful time with family and close friends. With a camera often in hand, Carol made sure every special moment was captured and remembered. Her loving, kind, and generous heart touched everyone who knew her.

Carol leaves behind her loving children, Sheilah Hollie of Mansfield, TX, and Jerry Caldwell of Bloomington, IL; her grandson, Drake Hollie; her brothers, Robert Yarber, John Yarber, and Ollie Yarber; along with many dearly loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Alvin Yarber; as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Carol chose cremation in lieu of formal services. Those wishing to honor Carol's memory are invited to make a donation in her name to jw.org in lieu of flowers.
