Carol Hamilton Maxwell Akerman

Carol Hamilton Maxwell Akerman, 83, passed away August 22, 2016. Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. She was born August 1, 1933 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Howard Samuel and Maude Ella Hamilton. Carol enjoyed many things ; Beta Sigma Phi, Eastern Star, volunteering at Claremore’s Hillcrest Hospital, gardening, playing bridge, dancing, playing piano, traveling, oil painting, making things with her hands; she was never idle. Carol was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Al Akerman, and granddaughter, Stephanie Maxwell. She is survived by daughter Diane Moore (Paul) grandchildren Tracy Green (Brandon), great grans Finley and Reagan ; Aaron Moore (Connie) great gran Catalina ; and Carrie Cotten (Jentry) ; son Roy Maxwell (Cindy), great granddaughter Danielle, Shalina McFarland (Nelson) , great gran Connor ; daughter Sharon Ragsdale (David), grandchildren, T.J. and Josh Elliott ; brother H.S.
