Charlotte Ann Furr, age 83, of Irving, Texas, passed away on February 13, 2025. She was born on January 4, 1942, in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, to Edmond and Hazel Furr. Charlotte was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and stepmother. She is survived by her children: Brenda Graham, Eddie Williams, April Williams, and Michael Williams; her stepchildren: Gayle Taylor, Dennis A. Byers, Pam Stinson, and Barbara Hand; along with multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, sister-in-law’s, sons-in-laws, and daughter-in-law. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis C. Byers, her daughter Ladonna Chambly, and many other family members, including her brothers Charles Furr, Ronnie Furr, and Gary Furr. She is also survived by her brother Jimmy Furr. Charlotte’s life was built on a foundation of deep Christian faith. She was a woman of prayer who consistently spoke of Jesus and the love He brought into her life. Her faith was not only something she shared with words but also through her actions, always making sure others were cared for. Whether it was offering a word of encouragement or ensuring no one went hungry, Charlotte’s generosity and love knew no bounds. In the kitchen, Charlotte was a master, delighting her family with her famous chicken fried steak, homemade chocolate pies, and her legendary Thanksgiving dressing. These dishes became a cherished tradition, bringing her loved ones together for countless memorable meals. Her cooking was a reflection of her heart—always giving, always filled with love. Her family will forever treasure the memories of sitting at her table, sharing laughter, and enjoying the comfort of her food. Charlotte also had a special love for Christmas and shopping, always finding joy in giving and making the holiday season memorable for her loved ones. She will be remembered not only for her delicious cooking but also for her kind heart and the warmth she radiated wherever she went. A message from Charlotte: “To my dear family, please know that my greatest wish is for each of you to be right with God and to know Jesus as your personal Savior. Live with His love in your hearts, and never forget that He is always with you. Keep your faith strong, and share that love with others as I have tried to do.” A celebration of her life will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church, 300 Trenton Blvd, Nashville, AR 71852, on March 15, 2025, at 12:00pm. Mom, Nanny, was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. She now rests with her late husband, Dennis, her daughter Ladonna, and other cherished family members, where she is at peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before her.
