Chester Gilbert

FORT WORTH — Chester C. Gilbert went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008.        Memorial service: 3 p.m. Thursday at Altamesa Church of Christ. Interment: 10 a.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Grand Prairie. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson.        Chester retired from the Navy Seabees after serving 22 years.        The family would like to express thanks to Huguley Care Center and Emery J. Lilge Hospice House for their compassion.        Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Julie Gilbert, and his son, Errol Gilbert.        Survivors: Wife, Paula; daughter, Lindsay Gilbert; granddaughter, Kayla Gilbert; extended family; and his dear friends, Glenn Powell, Ross Barnett and Pete Cusick.
