Chester (Butch) Lewis Smith Burleson– Chester Lewis Smith, 71, passed away July 22 at his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 13, 1941 to Chester and Mildred Smith in Little Rock, Arkansas, and moved to Texas in 1952. He worked at Stafford Metal Company for over 34 years as an installer, job estimator and foreman. He also was a volunteer fireman for Burleson Fire Department for 19 years. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and being with his family. Celebration Of Life: 11 a.m. Saturday July 28, 2012 St. Matthew Cumberland Presbyterian Church Burleson, Texas. Visitation will immediately follow the service. Survivors: Wife and best friend Linda Smith; parents Chester and Mildred Smith; daughter Dorinda McCoy and husband, Tony; stepdaughter Jackie Skidmore; grandchildren, Clint Parks, who he raised as his own, Amy Kimbrell and husband Quinn, Christopher McCoy, Mack Skidmore, and Christina Smith; brother Don Smith and wife Sherry; great-grandchildren Madison, Maddix and McKenzie Kimbrell. His extended family includes Annette and Quincy Armstrong, Jeannie and Mickey Wilson, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Chad Smith. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
