FORT WORTH — Clarence William Cruey, 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Interment: Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Clarence was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Hot Springs, Ark., to Purley and Daisy Cruey. He married Georgia Still on April 12, 1941. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1942 until 1946 in the South Pacific. Clarence retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 17 years of service, and continued working as a custom home builder. He was a longtime member of Calvary Pentecostal Church. Clarence was preceded in death by wife of 64 years, Georgia Cruey, and brother, Paul Cruey. Survivors: His children, Darlene McGee and husband, Roy, Kent Cruey and wife, Sheri, and Glenn Cruey and wife, Janie; sister, Eva Jean Laudensack and husband, Bob; sisters-in-law, Becky Cruey and Dorothy Snider; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
