While together they raised three children, he was also a father figure to many young people he mentored, supported, and loved. He valued the importance of hard work, honesty, and fierce loyalty in the home as well as on-the-job, and demonstrated it in the businesses he built and successfully ran for several decades. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, spending time with family, and spoiling his grandchildren, who called him Bumpy. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Cindy Day; daughter, Krista Limon and her husband, Rene, of Joshua; son, Clyde Waylen Day, Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Burleson; son, Clayton Day and his girlfriend, Lori Lindaas, of Benbrook; granddaughters, Alex, Payton, Addison, Kendall, and Scarlet; grandsons, Will, Ayden, and Cason; brother and sisters, Carson Day Sr., Gail Brittain, and Sherry Alcala; as well as many sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. He was loved deeply and is greatly missed.
