Cynthia A. (Niestockel) Elwood, 57, of North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away suddenly at home on January 20, 2026, with her husband by her side.
Cynthia Anne “Cindy” Niestockel was born on April 19, 1968, in Akron, Ohio, to Jeffrey and Sandra “Sandy” (Hoover) Niestockel. Cindy was a registered Pharmacy Technician at Carie Boyd Pharmaceuticals. She loved reading paperbacks, listening to audiobooks, traveling, and—most of all—spending time with her family and friends. She especially cherished watching sunsets on the boat with Jeffery.
Cindy lived in Jackson, Michigan, and San Diego, California, before ultimately settling in Texas, where she met the love of her life, Jeffery Elwood. Her legacy of kindness and love lives on through all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Cindy graduated with honors from Remington College in 2010 as a Pharmacy Technician and was a 1986 graduate of Columbia Central High School in Brooklyn, Michigan. While in high school, she participated in volleyball and softball.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jeffery Elwood; her son, Nick Mann; step-sons Charles (Elianah) Elwood and Brandon Elwood; step-daughter Savannah Elwood; grandsons Nikoa and Ripp Mann; step-grandson Aspen Elwood; her mother, Sandy (Hoover) Price; step-father, Jim Price; father-in-law, Ward Elwood; brother Robert “Rob” (Bobbie) Niestockel; step-sisters Wendy (Cassandra) Niestockel and Jennifer and Jamie Price; nephews Zach and Kyle Niestockel; her aunt Sharon (Hoover) Hamlin; and many friends and extended family.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Jeffrey and Gail Niestockel, and her mother-in-law, Leanne Elwood.
In accordance with Cindy’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held.
