Daisy Evelyn Dixson

Keene–Daisy Dixson, a long time resident of Keene, Texas, went to her rest on August 17, 2003 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Daisy was the fourth of eleven children born in 1912 to Benjamin Cooper and Julia Ann Anderson, long time residents of Waxahachie, Texas. Daisy married Cecil Clarence Owens in 1932 in Ellis County and was widowed when her husband died from an accident in 1934. Cecil and Daisy had one son, Cecil Jim Owens, born in 1933. In 1936, Daisy married Jack Dixson. They moved to Keene, Texas in 1955 and resided there until Jack’s death in 1999. They were blessed with one daughter, Betty Joanne Dixson Ansley, born in 1938. She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter, Betty Joanne Ansley; her son, Cecil Jim Owens and wife, Ida; three grandchildren, Diane Owens Nystrom and husband, Dan, Greg Owens and Richard Owens. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Ola George and Mrs. Esta Lee Fleeman and a brother, Benton Anderson, along with brothers and sister-in-laws, several nieces and nephews and many church friends in the community. A brief service will be held in the Schneider Memorial Chapel located at the Keene Cemetery, Keene, Texas at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 22, 2003.
