Daniel Clyde Crommett, age 70, passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2025, in Cross Roads, Texas.
Born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, Dan graduated from Wichita Falls High School and later earned his college degree from Midwestern State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a member of Field Artillery, a role he carried with deep pride throughout his life.
Dan had a lifelong passion for history, was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and never passed up the chance to enjoy great Texas BBQ. Above all else, he loved his family deeply and was an especially proud grandfather to his three grandsons, who brought him immense joy.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Crommett; his parents, Clytie and Harold Crommett; his brothers, Michael and Patrick Crommett; his sister, Barbara Musser; and his stepchildren, Amy and Adam Palcheck.
Dan is survived by his daughter, Melanie Crommett; his son, Daniel Crommett; his stepdaughter, Laura Lewis; and his grandsons, Kenneth “Mikey” Harrington, James Hoffman, and Daniel Crommett III, all of whom will cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life and burial of ashes will be held at a later date.
