Burial: 4:30 p.m. Sunday May 21, 2017 at The Black Family Cemetery, 15008 American Legion Memorial Highway, Hico, TX 76457. Dan was born September 20, 1948 in the town if Purcell, Oklahoma. He Married Nancy Sue Hampton on March 11, 1977. Dan and Nancy had two daughters and one son; Danna Sears of Macomb, OK, Deanna Riechard of Hico, TX and Chad Clayton of Shawnee, OK. He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas Smith, mother; Dorothy Smith and a brother, Short Smith. Survivors: He is survived by his Wife, Nancy Hampton Smith of the Home; brother, Ron & Karen Smith of Tecumseh, OK; children, Danna & Dennis Sears of Macomb, Oklahoma, Deanna & John Riechard of Hico and Chad Clayton of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 6 Grandkids; 11 Great Grandkids and many more other friends and loved ones.
