It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Danny Ray Etheridge, age sixty-six, of Hurst, Texas, who passed away on August 9th, 2025.
Danny was born on October 15th, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, to Raymond Bryant Etheridge and Cordie Winkles. He was widely known for the deep love he held for his grandchildren, always placing their happiness above his own. His life was marked by a selfless willingness to do anything for those he loved, and he extended that same spirit of generosity to his community, where he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a warm sense of humor that could light up any room, a gracious heart that left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and a playful streak that showed in his enjoyment of an occasional beer — even when he knew he wasn’t supposed to.

He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Marie Ross, Christie Ann Allen and spouse John Matthew Allen, Joshua Ray Etheridge, and their mother Frances Marie Cummings; and his siblings Ray Etheridge, Evelyn Haley, Rosie Hock, Bettye Hernandez, Mike Etheridge, Stephen Etheridge, Jackie Etheridge, and Lee Earl. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren- Charles Allen Bishop, Carl William Bishop, Johnathan Matthew Allen, Nicholas Raymond Allen, Chloe Lynann Allen (his baby girl), Zachary Ray Ross, Ethan James Etheridge, Julia Elize Etheridge, and his two great grandchildren Kendell Nichole Bishop and Tucker Allen Bishop- whom he loved very dearly.

A memorial service is to be determined. Friends and loved ones are invited to attend and celebrate Danny’s life when the time comes.
