David Robert Bumgardner, 43, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away on April 30, 2026 at his sisters home in Burleson, Texas.
David was born March 3, 1983 in San Angelo, Texas to Bill and Bettie Lou Bumgardner. He spent most of his life in Clovis, New Mexico where he built lifelong friendships and memories that remained close to his heart throughout his life. Known for his warm spirit and easy conversation, David truly never met a stranger. If you knew him, you had a friend for life that you could count on for anything. His kindness, humor and ability to make others feel welcome left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
David had a deep passion for glass blowing and enjoyed the creativity and craftsmanship it allowed him to express. He also loved motorcycle riding and found freedom and peace on the open road. His dogs were especially dear to him. And he treated them like family members. He was a phenomenal trainer and had some of the most well behaved dogs you'd ever come in contact with. More than anything, David valued people. His friends quickly became family and the bonds he created with others were genuine, loyal and lasting. And will be missed by those that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Bumgardner (Burleson, Texas) and Bettie Lou Bumgardner (Clovis, New Mexico), Grandparents, Ivan and Lila Benham (Alamogordo, New Mexico), and Carl Bumgardner (Proctor, Texas).
He is lovingly remembered by his grandmother, Ruby Bumgardner of Proctor, Texas; his sisters, Kerrie Beevers (Walter) of Clovis, New Mexico, Karla Brown (Adam) of Burleson, Texas and Kellie Schwartz (Doug) of Clovis New Mexico. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many dear friends who loved him deeply.
Though his passing leaves an unimaginable emptiness, David's laughter, generosity, and unforgettable spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date
