BURLESON – David Ray Babbitt, 78, passed away Friday January 10, 2014. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. David Ray Babbitt was born on Friday, January 20, 1935 in Cuero, Texas. His parents were Henry Ray Babbitt and Marion Lucille Babbitt and he lived most of his life in Joshua, Texas. He departed this life on January 10, 2014 at the age of 78 years. His parents, Henry and Marion Babbitt and his brother Leroy Babbitt preceded him in death. David married Ruth Love on September 29, 1961. He was a carpenter and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. David loved working on cars, camping, building houses, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include: his wife, Ruth Babbitt; three sons, Gerald and wife Elise of Joshua, Mark and wife Andrea of Joshua, Curtis and wife Tammy of Joshua; one sister, Louise Smith and one brother, Marvin Babbitt; six grandchildren: Justine, Ashley, Austin, Brittany, Hanna, and Blake; along with many other relatives and friends.
