David Russell Seif, a cherished son, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on April 8, 2025, at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 55, following a hemorrhagic stroke. Born on May 24, 1969, at the same hospital, David lived a life full of passions and quiet accomplishments.
As a young boy, David delighted in sports, celebrating an early milestone in 1978 when he played in the National Little League Championship in Atlanta, GA. Known fondly by those close to him as "The Dog Whisperer," David shared a special bond with animals, especially dogs, who seemed instinctively drawn to his soulful presence.
David's love for the great outdoors was evident in his avid enthusiasm for fishing and travel, exploring new fishing spots whenever he had the chance. He was also a devoted golf fan, both as a spectator and player, and found joy and relaxation behind the wheel both professionally and personally, simply driving through the scenic views of his beloved Texas and beyond.
Above all, David’s heart belonged to his family and friends. In his later years he shared a tremendously close-knit connection with his father, Harry Seif, his sister, Cheryl Bevington and brother-in-law Craig Bevington. Though preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Seif, David's lasting legacy is a testament to the love he cultivated within his family circle.
A celebration of David's life will take place on what would have been his 56th birthday, May 24th, at Lake Cliff Park Pavillion in Dallas at 2 p.m. Attendees are welcomed to join in a casual lunch following the memorial to honor David's life. David’s absence leaves a hole in the lives of all who knew and loved him, but his quiet strength and affection will forever echo in our hearts.
