His culinary flair shone brightly in his enthusiasm for smoking various kinds of meats, delighting family and friends alike with his culinary creations, each meal marked by the unmistakable stamp of care and dedication.

David's sense of duty extended beyond his familial roles; he proudly served in the Army, where he dedicated his service to the Chemical Warfare division from 1966 to 1967 in Germany. This period not only shaped his character but also instilled in him a profound respect for the bonds of camaraderie and sacrifice that define military life.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Carrie Iuan Willingham, and his cherished daughter, Marlo Weems. Together, they carry forth his spirit, embodying the love and values he instilled in them.
