BURLESON — Denise Tom, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008 after a brave and valiant three year battle with cancer.Funeral: 10 am Monday at Cana Baptist Church in Burleson. Visitation: 4 to 6 pm Sunday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers a donation in Denise’s name can be made to the Cana Baptist Church Benevolence Fund. Denise was a registered nurse who dedicated her life to caring for children with cancer… the very disease that took her life. Survivors: Husband, Bryan; son Jeffrey and wife Chieko; daughter, Sarah and husband James; mother, Jean Cook; siblings, Dennis Cook and Debora Blind; granddaughters, Destiny and Faith and her faithful dog, Cupcake.
