Denise Nannette Thompson

Denise Nannette Thompson of Alvarado, formally of Orange County California passed away peacefully Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Emery J. Lilge Hospice House in Burleson, TX. This following a month long courageous battle with cancer at Huguley Hospital whose loving staff were just wonderful. By God’s Grace, Denise was a recovering alcoholic who “One Day At A Time” stayed sober the last 27 years of her life, with the help of God, friends, and her AA family. She will most definitely be missed by family and all who knew her, especially her pets, Wonder the cat and her lovable 4 lb. chihuahua dog, Sweetie. Preceded in death by parents: Albert “Ed” & Melba Ruoff of Huntington Beach, California. Survived by husband James of Alvarado, TX; sister Dru & Oliver Anastacio, niece Robin Satler of Paradise, CA; nephew Richard & Debbie Russell of Vancouver, WA; niece Tamara & Doug Meyer of Marysvale, UT. California interment arrangements are pending at this time.
