Donald Holmes

JOSHUA — Donald Ray Holmes, 76, passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2009.        Memorial service: 3 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Joshua.        Donald served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.        He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth L. Holmes, and one daughter, Susan Holmes Smith.        Survivors: Daughter, Patricia York of Joshua; grandchildren, Andrea Harrison of Burleson, Darlyn Herriage of Cleburne and Larry and Michael Strickland of Denton; great-grandchildren, Brenden Stevens of Burleson and Jaidyn Strickland of Burleson; and brothers, Robert P "Bob" Holmes and Dee Holmes and wife, Lavenia, all of Fort Worth.
