Donna Marie Nicholson

Richardson, TX - Donna died peacefully the early morning of Saturday, February 7, 2026, battling courageously to recover from a severe stroke . She was born October 29, 1948 in Evanston, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Birger Anders "Pete" Pearson and Ethel Victoria Pearson, her husband Kenneth Eugene Nicholson, and sister Louise Gjertsen. She is survived by her sons Jeff Nicholson, Robert (Luci) Nicholson, Pete (Bethany) Nicholson, and Bruce McCombs, and grandchildren Joshua, Braden, Lily, Jack and Anna.

Donna was the daughter of Swedish immigrants and was proud of her heritage. She particularly treasured the certificate of her Father's arrival through Ellis Island in the 1920's. She grew up in Evanston, IL and married her neighbor, Ken in 1966. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother, for her talent at abstract painting, and for her love of plants, the singing group Il Divo, and the many dogs she and Ken rescued.

A memorial celebration will be held at the home of Pete and Bethany Nicholson on February 14th at 1:00 PM.
