Doris Pauline Cardwell-Roach of Burleson, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Funeral services will be held at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home, 12301 S. Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76028, on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 2:00 pm.  Visitation is Thursday 6:00-8:00 pm. Doris Pauline (Cook) Cardwell-Roach was born on August 10, 1925 to William Wesley and Almarine Mae Cook in Hasse, Texas.  She worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Worth for over 30 years.  She volunteered and served on the board of Widowed Persons Services of Tarrant County. She is preceded in death by her daughter Margaret Ann Shiner; husbands, Douglas Allen Cardwell and William Edgar Roach; sisters, Jean McCoy and Fern Mayfield, and her parents. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Carr; grandson, Joshua Martin; granddaughter, Alanna Martin, and many nieces and nephews. She was 91 years old.
