Douglas "Corey" Linn

Douglas “Corey” Linn, Age 46, died Monday, June 22, 2015, at his home, shared with his loving partner April Stevenson. He enlisted in the Army in 1989.  He was ordered to active duty as a Corporal in support of Operation Desert Shield/Dessert Storm. Douglas was a dedicated family man who cherished his children and grandchildren.  He was a doting father, loving man and caring friend.  An avid automobile hobbyist, reader, gamer, jokester, mentor to many, lover of animals, his love of country and dedication to service followed him throughout his full life.  He will be sorely missed. He is remembered with love by cherished partner, April Stevenson; loving parents, Richard & Kimberly Linn of Sevierville ,TN; Protective brother of Heather Linn-Ward of Sevierville, TN; children Dana (Timothy) Dye of Smithville, MO; Stephen (Amber) Linn of Tampa, FL;  Kathryn (Daniel) Knight of Oceanside, CA; Cody Linn of Blue Springs, MO; Brianna Lenczycki of Burleson, TX; Shelby Linn of Burleson, TX; Zak Kowalski of Burleson, TX; and Kelly Kowalski of Crete, IL.  Dedicated Uncle of Emily Ward and Zoe Ward of Sevierville, TN. Beloved grandfather to Allison Dye, Zachary Dye of Smithville, MO, Liam Knight, and Declan Knight of Oceanside, CA. He was born on May 26, 1969, in Joliet, Illinois.  Graduated in 1987, from Joliet West High School.  Enlisted in the United States Army in 1989 & was medically discharged in 2000.  He went on to attend Wyo Tech in 1998, where he graduated top of his class. Visitation is June 26, at 1:00pm until 3:00pm, at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home, Burleson, TX.  Memorial and Burial to take place at a later date in Rock Island, IL.
