Dr. James A. Billman

Crowley, Texas

Dr. James Albert Billman went home to be with the Lord on April 24th, 2026. 

He is survived by his wife Amy Billman, his son Jim Billman, his daughter Debbie Shannon, his grandchildren Jordan, Caitlin, Jaden, Calise, and Bennett, his granddaughter-in-law Bekah, great grandkids, Judah, Elias, Phineas, and Shiloh, adopted granddaughter Taylor Burney, his siblings Doug and Pam, and dogs Andy and Chip. 

He was preceded in death by his brothers Ronnie and Gary, his son-in-law Randy Shannon, and daughter-in-law Lisa Billman.

He dedicated his life to serving his family, his community, and his country. He served four years with the United States Air Force before accepting his calling to the ministry, pastoring people for over 50 years. He served as pastor to Crowley Family Fellowship for over 36 years.

He touched the lives of countless students in Crowley ISD as a substitute teacher, known fondly as Dr. B. Many in Crowley will remember how he prayed before city events and before council meetings. He was loved by countless people he touched through his faithful life, ranging from Minnesota to Texas.

A celebration of Dr. Billman's life will be on May 9th at 2pm at Grace Bible Fellowship in Crowley, TX. His family welcomes anyone who knew and loved Dr. Billman.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The WARM Place in Forth Worth, TX. This organization was close to Dr. Billman's heart and wanted them to know, "Thank you for all the support you gave my grandson and daughter."
