Earnestine Parker Ackerman

Earnestine Parker Ackerman, 95 died peacefully on January 2, 2024 in Mansfield Tx. She was born on July 25, 1928 in Ellis County to Mae and Earnest Parker and grew up in Midlothian Tx. She and T. G. Ackerman were married in 1946 and celebrated 73 years of marriage. Predeceased by T.G. in 2019, grandson Aubrey Holland in 2015 and sisters Ann and Betty Jean. Earnestine is survived by daughters Paula (Tim) Montandon, Pam Holland ; grandchildren Rachel Smith, Ashley Kolding, Scarlet (TJ) Johnson, Miriam (Joey) Farmer, Grant (Amy) Montandon and great grandchildren Kendall, Layla, Reagan, Austin, Aston, Aiden, Jarett, Max, Emerson, Emma and Eli. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Earnestine cherished time spent with her family, whom she loved dearly, and traveling to Branson, Missouri on their annual pilgrimage with the “Traveling Texas Friends “. She was also an active member of the Mansfield Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for 30 years, she loved to shop and couldn’t pass up a good bargain, never met a stranger and always remembered every family member at Christmas and their birthday even as it grew in numbers. Earnestine was a long time member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. She was a wonderful Mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed. A special thank you to the staff at Legend of Mansfield and AlevCare Hospice for giving my mother such excellent care the past 2 years. At Legend of Mansfield she met a best friend, Callie Ragon, they would play bingo and volleyball and sit in the Bistro with a latte and socialize… A memorial service dedicated to the Glory of God in Celebration and Thanksgiving for the life of Earnestine Parker Ackerman July 25, 1928-January 2, 2024 Thursday January 18, 2024 at 2:15pm DFW National Cemetery Dallas Tx.
