Edna Maye Van Fossen

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the passing of our most beloved family member, Edna Van Fossen. Edna lived a full life that came to a peaceful end at 10:48 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Edna was preceded in death by her parents Thomas “Jack“ Thompson and Hadie Maye Thompson. She resided in Alvarado Texas for the last 20 plus years and raised a wonderful family. Edna is additionally survived by her sister, T Carol Hall, granddaughters, Shawndah and Jackie Lynn as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. It is from our entire family that we dedicate this poem to her. Today we see a true point of light take flight… Back to the night sky. Fly true. Fly bright… We don’t wonder why. We understand circles… We celebrate your life. Your time in this world… Your smile your eyes. Your passions. Your curls… Your daughters. Two very lovely women. Your girls… Sister grandbabies and nephews. yes we miss you… But we know though you are gone from us. You… Have never been closer. Speed of light. Take flight… Back to the sunshine. Fly true. Fly Bright.
