Effie Lee Adams

Cleburne–Effie Lee Adams, 87, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2003, in a local hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Adams will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel in Cleburne. Burial will be in Brazos Point Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-8 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2003, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield. Mrs. Adams, a homemaker, was born October 11, 1916, in Bosque County, Texas, the daughter of Lewis Simpson and Ethel Lee (Hudson) Mears. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Adams, November 18, 1996. She is survived by two sisters, Ruby Johnson and Lizzie Meeks, both of Cleburne; two brothers, Lewis (Junior) Mears of Corpus Christi and Amos Mears of Cleburne, and several nieces and nephews.
