Keene–Funeral services for Elsie L. Frieder, 92, of Keene, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 14, 2003 at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel of Cleburne. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2003 from 3-5 PM and again from 7-9 PM, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home. Elsie L. Frieder, a retired manager for C & P Telephone Company, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2003, in Fort Worth. She was born September 2, 1911, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Mabel (Simon) and Arthur Catlin. She was a member of the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church and also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She married David Edward Frieder, Sr. March 14, 1942, in Silver Springs, Maryland. He preceded her in death November 24, 1989. She is survived by one son, David Edward Frieder, Jr. of Rockville, Maryland; one daughter, Betty Holdridge, of Keene; sister-in-law, Margaret Catlin, of Youngstown, Ohio; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
