MANSFIELD — Esther Mae Jones, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012. Funeral: 10 a.m. Dec. 19, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment: Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne. Esther Mae Hunter was born April 11,1927 in Plymouth, Florida, to James Baxter Hunter and Fannie Louise Hunter. She remained in Florida with her brothers and sisters, until she met and married Glenn Denning Jones in June of 1944. Soon after, Glenn’s work transferred him to Georgia. Not long after DeLiegh arrived and prompted another move in Georgia, to Montezuma. Esther worked as a bookkeeper, until they moved once again to Keene, Texas, so DeLiegh could get the education they wanted her to have. Again, Esther worked as a bookkeeper, until she retired, and even then worked part time at an investment firm in Keene. She lost Glenn in 1998.   In 1999, she had a stroke, but managed to fully recover, and was able to still work, occasionally. After, a few years, she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, which required her to eventually move to assisted living. It was at the second assisted living facility, that she met Joe Moore, whom she married in April 2009. They took care of each other, until Joe’s death in July, 2012. Then, December 14,2012, Esther passed away. Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, DeLiegh Jones Simpson, and spouse, Martin, Simpson:Grandchildren, Kristy Simpson Stecker, and her spouse Wayne, Jeremy Simpson, and spouse, Jennifier, Shelby Simpson; Great Grand-children, Tristan Stecker, Madison Stecker, Brenton Stecker, Caelon Stecker, Caleb Simpson and Noah Simpson; also her sister Edith ” Jimmie ” Loder, and many nieces and nephews
