Fred Worthy Francis

d. January 30, 2024

Fred Worthy Francis, born on January 7, 1948, in Corsicana, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He was 76. Fred is survived by his devoted wife Kathy, and he leaves behind a tremendous legacy of love through his many children and grandchildren. Known for his gentle and loving nature, Fred also possessed a dash of charisma and a keen sense of humor that endeared him to all. As the director of facilities at his company and a master electrician, Fred could build or fix anything. He eagerly shared his knowledge, teaching those around him the skills he had accumulated over a lifetime of construction, repair, and maintenance. A lover of the outdoors, Fred was particularly well-known as an avid fisherman. Those who joined him in the boat or along the shoreline received Fred’s carefully articulated life lessons and hard-won wisdom. Such moments his family and friends will always hold dear. Fred is fondly remembered by his children: son Fred and his wife, Catherine Niedzwiecki; daughter Jennifer Jensen and her husband, Dustin; son Joe and his wife, Emily; Sarah Ault and her husband, John Ault. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Ashley Jensen, David Jensen, Nathan Jensen, James Francis, Mark Hultquist, Cadence Ault, and Isaac Francis. When Fred and Kathy married in 2005, his family grew even more. His extended family includes stepson Johnny Jenkins; stepdaughter Holly Carr and her husband, Cody Carr; stepdaughter Donielle Seelye and her husband, Dustin Seelye, along with their children Daelen and Drea-Claire. Preceded in death by his parents, Don and Sara, sister, Renea Beckmeyer, and grandson Alex Jensen, Fred’s legacy remains inextricably intertwined with that of his large and loving family. The memories he created, the love he shared, and the laughter he inspired in us all will endure for generations. As we celebrate Fred’s life, may we find solace in the steadfast love he showed us and the ongoing impact he had on those fortunate enough to have known him. All are welcome to join the family for a celebration of life for Fred on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at Hidden Pines Chapel, 2380 Nelson Parkway, Highland Village, TX 75077.
