Garry Lee Leonard

CLEBURNE — Garry Lee Leonard, 65, passed away on Monday April 8, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday April 17th at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Gary was born on January 12, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri to Edward and Alma Leonard. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War and then re-inlisted in the  Air Force where he served another 4 years. After being honorably discharged he then joined the National Guard. Garry worked for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department as a correctional officer. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Garry is preceded in death by his daughter, Anne Marie Joplin. Survivors: wife, Diana; son, Mike Boeckel and wife, Teri;  2 granddaughters, Bailee and Lauren Boeckel; brother, Chris Leonard and wife, Pat.
