Gary Hatton Aubrey, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 83, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and a life fully lived.

Gary proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later in the Reserves, a chapter of his life that shaped his quiet strength and steadfast character. He carried himself with humility, resilience, and a deep sense of duty that remained with him throughout his life.

He was a quiet man by nature, yet those who knew him well understood the depth behind that quiet presence. Gary loved reading, thoughtful conversation, and friendly debates, always engaging with others in a way that was both meaningful and genuine. He faced the world with a twinkle in his eye, often pairing his reflective nature with a well-timed joke and a bit of mischief. His playful spirit and ability to bring lightness to any moment will live on through the family who loved him dearly and will carry his spirit forward.

Gary’s happiest days were spent with a fishing line in the water, the sun on his face, and nowhere else he would rather be. Those who knew him best understood that his stubbornness was, at its core, a reflection of his loyalty and unwavering love.

He was full of life in his own steady way, and that life touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Gary is survived by his son, Joseph Aubrey, and daughter-in-law, Penni Aubrey; his daughter, Diana Christensen, and son-in-law, Max Christensen; his grandsons, Dominic Aubrey (Abby Aubrey) and Jacob Aubrey (Jennifer Aubrey); and his great-granddaughters, Anny Bone, Melanie Aubrey, Lian Aubrey, and Mia Aubrey.

Gary Aubrey will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in the peace he so richly deserves.
