Keller-Dr. George Washington Alexander Jr., D.DS., 90, was born February 6, 1923 in Volusia County, Florida.  He was the third son born to Rev George W. Alexander, Sr. and wife Lena Warren.  He passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at a Hurst, TX nursing facility with his son, Arnold, at his bedside. He was a retired dentist based in Fort Worth, TX for over forty years.  He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran, who served in South Pacific theater during World War II.  He received a Bachelors of Science degree at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL, and later received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. He was also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jewel Borders Alexander, whom he met while both attended Bethune Cookman College in Daytona Beach FL. Survivors include sons George W. Alexander III (Wanda), and Arnold Alexander, grandchildren Darryl Alexander, Patrice Alexander, Alicia Alexander, Marques Alexander, great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
