Glodene Reynolds, 78, Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024. Born in Red Bird, Oklahoma, the fifth child of twelve. She loved dancing, laughing, partying with her family, taking annual sister trips with her four sisters and enjoying life. She was a fashion-diva from a very young age and loved coordinating her church outfits with the right hat. She had blessed growing hands and was passionate about her plants. Glodene was a dedicated and protective mom to three daughters, one daughter-in-law, one son, and one son-in-law. Granny to seven grandsons, four granddaughters, four great grandsons, and three great granddaughters. She was a second mother to many over the years and welcomed many to sit and eat at her dinner table. She was an excellent cook, devoted to serving her church home and being a best sister-friend. Glodene also loved spending quality time with her friends. They enjoyed shared meals, long adventurous road trips and walks along the water’s edge. She was a devoted servant in her church, and embraced serving in any capacity as needed, though her heart was with the welcome committee serving as an usher. Glodene was preceded in death by her eldest grandson, Ronald Marquis Jackson, her parents, George Wesley Jr. “G.W.” and Velma Reynolds; her siblings-Arthur “A.J.”, James, Gladys Bizzell, Wendell “Wendy”, George Wesley, III “Jerry”, Darnell “Donnie” and Kelvin “Kevin”; sister-in-law Willette (A.J.) and brother-in-law Ronald Astwood. She is survived by her children: Anita Bryd (Larry), Kellye Mitchell-Zackery, Tamika Rivers, Jamie Reynolds (Jaena); grandchildren: Kevin Derel Lawrence, LaTeshea Newsome (Leslie), Kenneth Darius Lawrence (Destiny), Andre Allen Jr., Ciarra Johns, Cameron Johns, Bryanna Edwards, Kenneth Lowery, Jami Reynolds and Treston Edwards; great-grandchildren: Kaaliyah Lawrence, Rashaud Newsome, Kortez Lawrence, Kyra Lawrence, Nasir Negrette, Raeyon Newsome, and Cam’ryn Johns; siblings: Bobbie Jo Dansberry, Sharon Carter, Wanda Astwood, and Michael Reynolds.
