Gloria Ann Kirby

Gloria Ann Kirby (née Tucker), 73, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on November 7, 1951, in Scurry, Texas, Gloria was the daughter of the late Loyd Tucker and Frances Marie (McWhorter) Tucker. Raised with strong values and a deep sense of family, she carried those principles with her throughout her life.

Gloria’s warmth, wit, and resilience touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether through her tireless dedication to her family, her loyalty as a friend, or her unwavering strength in the face of life’s challenges, she left an indelible mark on those around her. When she wasn’t working, she was always present at her grandchildren’s events—big and small—cheering them on, and she proudly supported her nephew at Special Olympics events. She cherished spending time with her friends and had a gift for making everyone feel special.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Maree Arnold-Johnson (née Kirby); her son, John Michael Kirby, and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Qualls; her grandchildren, Christian Arnold, Logan Johnson, Justin Kirby, and Kennedy Kirby (wife, Charlie Kirby); and her great-grandchildren, Eliza Arnold, Guinevere Arnold, and Ezra Arnold. She is also survived by her nephews, Ernest Dewayne Hendrickson and Clint Hamilton (wife, Belinda Hamilton), along with great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Ella Marie Hamilton, and nephews, Thomas Ray Hamilton and Edward Eugene Hamilton.

A celebration of life will be held on April 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at The Oaks at Drury Cross, 6765 Rendon Bloodworth Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76140, where friends and family will gather to honor Gloria’s memory and legacy.

Gloria’s light lives on in the hearts of all who loved her.
