Gracie passed away peacefully December 8,2016 surrounded by her loving family. Service: 12 noon Tuesday, December 13,2016 at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 11:00 on Tuesday , just prior to the service. Burial to follow at Green Acres Memorial Garden in Cleburne, Texas. Gracie Lee Wakeland Cannon was born to to Marshall Edward Wakeland and Bonnie Ada Shelton Wakeland in Cleburne, Texas. To say that Gracie loved gardening was an understatement. Gracie could take a leaf, root it in a tumble full of water and nurture it into a beautiful  plant. She loved to watch things grow, along with quilting, sewing, and crocheting. Gracie was very proud to be a homemaker, cooking and taking care of her family was very important to her.  She is preceded in death by: husband, David W. Cannon, parents, sisters; Bonnie Wakeland, Ann Gilliam, brothers; Wallace Wakeland, J.C Wakeland, Joe Wakeland, sister in law, Nelda Wakeland. Survivors: children; Charles R, Cannon (Jayne), Bennie R. Cannon(Melody), Brenda J. Woodend(David), Wallace E. Cannon(Gaby), seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to her loving caregivers from the last 6 years, she loved you all.
