MANSFIELD- Grady Kent Tatum, a Life Member (59 years) of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft workers, passed away Tuesday December 4, 2018. Celebration of Life- 1:00 pm Saturday 12/8/18- Mansfield American Legion Post #624 Grady Kent was born Sept 4th, 1936 in Fort Worth and lived his life in the Mansfield/Kennedale area. He served in the Air National Guard from 1955-1961 and made a career as a Brick Mason. He loved to GO and DO and, in his words, “I am sitting on Go and Rocking on Ready”. He did everything from hunting, fishing, Shuffle board, Poker and Moon. He was proud of his last brick job at the Mansfield American Legion Post. He lived life to the fullest and will be remembered for many things especially how he held down “Tatum’s Corner” population of 1. In his final hours Grady accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and we know we will be reunited with him in heaven. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Fabion Martin; father, Vernon Carver Tatum; grandson, Joshua Wayne Tatum. Survivors- His children, Grady Kent Tatum Jr. and wife, Monica, of Arlington, Karla Ann Tatum Martin, husband, Jimmie, of Vilonia, Arkansas. 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
