| Harold Gregory “Greg” Poore, age 71, of Cleburne, Texas, passed away on May 26, 2026, peacefully in his home. Born on January 12, 1955, Greg lived his life with a kind heart, a gentle soul, and a love for the simple things that mattered most. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and great grandfather. Greg loved singing, playing his guitar, and fishing. Greg loved The Lord with all his heart and wrote songs about Him that touched many lives. His favorite verse was 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 “9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” Greg is survived by his Wife: Tonya Poore Daughter: Melissa Roberts Grandchildren:Bailey & Ethan Rackley Mason Chenault Hayden Chenault & Hannah Shelman Hunter Chenault & Justin Davis Great Grandchildren:Bryson, Paityn, & Harper Rackley Tatum, Wrenlee, & Hudson Chenault Braxton Davis and many other friends & family. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, sister & brother. He will always be remembered for his musical talents, his kindness, and the love he shared with his family and friends. “His voice was more than a song. His guitar more than strings. His love more than words. His music will play forever in our hearts.” A service will be held on June 8th @ 2:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church: 700 Woodard Cleburne Texas 76033. |
