BURLESON — Harry G. Natchke passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, in Burleson. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Fort Worth, with Pastor Bud Beverly officiating. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Harry’s memory to the American Red Cross. Harry was born Feb. 4, 1921, in Bloomfield, Neb., where he lived until he was 13. His family then moved to Gettysburg, S.D., living on a farm. He went on to serve in the Army during World War II. Harry enjoyed fishing, traveling and custom stair-building, among many other interests. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Emma Rabe Natchke, and sisters, Eileen, Mary, Nohra and Arlys. He was also preceded by his big brother, Ed; two wives, Helen Smith Natchke and Juanita Jean Natchke. Survivors: Son, Bruce L. Natchke (Julie); stepson, Charles A. Wright; grandchildren. Nathan W. Natchke (Jennifer), Karina L. Natchke and Ellen J. Natchke; great-grandchild, Marisa Kate Natchke; brother, Robert Natchke (Marleen); and many nieces, nephews and friends.
